Richard Catelyn was lord of the manor of Woolverstone Hall, Suffolk, in the reign of Elizabeth; an alderman of Norwich in 1556 and the sheriff of that city in 1531 belonged to a family, afterwards knighted by Charles I., that owned Wingfield Castle (P.).
