Walter de Carnoc granted to the monks of Kelso the churches of Trauerflet (Trailflat) and Dumgrey, and his grant was confirmed by William the Lion (Kelso, 341). Walter de Carnoc was succeeded by his son Thomas, and he by his son Robert de Carnoc, who in 1266 confirmed the gift of these churches to Kelso (ibid., 342). Thomas de Carnocus, cancellarius, attests a charter by David 11, 1341 (Scon, p. 111). John Carnuk was a tenant under the bishop of Aberdeen, 1511 (REA., I, p. 368).
