CELLACH: i.e."warlike." Cellach, a prince or mormaer of Scotland, was one of those killed in the great battle of Brunanburh in 937 (AFM.). Cellach, provincial king of Moray, was killed c. 950 by Malcolm, Donald's son (CPS., p. 10), and Tighernach records that in 978 Cellach, son if Findguine and Cellach, son of Baid were two mormaers in Scotland.
