Ronald Chessure was admitted burgess of Aberdeen, 1604 (NSCM., I, p. 99), William Chessor was burgess there in 1611 (ROA., I, p. 231), William Chessour and John Chessor in Gotillie (or Gullie) appear in 1633 (SCM., III, p. 81,130), and Edward Chessor appears in same year (ibid., p. 80). Thomas Chesser was witness in Brabuster, 1626 (OSS., I, 158), Frances Chessyre is in record in Edinburgh, 1649 (Edinb. Marr.), William Chesser in Aberdeen in 1726 (NSCM., II, p. 116), and George Chessor in Strathrey in 1735 (CRA.). Chessour 1634.
