I Clarotti, or Clariotti is a borough of Mondovi (CN, Italy) where the Clarotti held a brick furnace.

Many of them left for Argentina, where much of the family prospered. Another branch is in Rome, following the departure of Giorgio Clarotti who was a military man working for the King of Piedmont. When Vittorio Emanuele II became King of all Italy in 1862, he followed him in Rome.

One branch is now based in Brussels, where the progenitor moved in 1957 to work for the European Commission.
