Very ancient in Yorkshire. Local-but I do not find the place.
Or De Moels, Baronets, from Meulles, Normandy. Descended in the male line from Moyle of Cornwall, of whom Reginald de Moyl, alias Moel, was dead before 1304, when Wm. M. was found to be his next heir (Roberts, Cal. Geneal. 676). The Lords Moels, of which this was a branch, descended from Roger de Molis, whoin 1086 held from Baldwin de Brionne in Devon.
