Robert Cors or Kors was tenant in Westhorn, 1465—70 (Cupar-Angus, I, p. 152,155), John Cors burgess-freeman of Glasgow, 1601 (Burgesses), Robert Corss in Dysart, 1630 (PBK., p. 20), and James Corss was a mathematician in Edinburgh in latter half of seventeenth century. David Corse Glen was a Glasgow geologist. (2) An old surname in Rousay, from Corse in the parish of St. Ola, Orkney. John of Corss was witness to a disposition made at Kirkwall in 1455 (REO., p. 191).
