COSOUOLD: "Cosouold filius Muryn aput castrum Oliuerj," was one of the witnesses to the Diuise de Stobbo, c. 1190 (REG., p. 89). Prof. Watson suggests that the name should probably be read as Cososuold, "Oswald's servant," a Welsh formation.
