DRYLAW: William de Drilawe of the county of Edneburk rendered homage in 1296. His seal bears a star of six points, S' Will' de Drilov (Bain, II, p. 201,551). In the same year a writ was issued to the sheriff of Edinburgh on behalf of Walter de Drylawe (ibid., p. 218). John de Drylowe or Diyelawe of the county of Stirling also rendered homage in 1296 (ibid., p. 186,197). Willelmus filius Johannis de Drilaw held land in Strevelin in 1299 (RAA., I, p. 276), and John Drylaw in the parish of Falkirk is in record in 1674 (Torphichen). From Drylaw near Davidson's Mains, Midlothian.
