John Dugeoun had a precept of remission in 1536 (RSS., II, 2033), and in 1559 there is mention of the late John Duggeoun and of Dionisius Duggeoun, tenant of Oswaldisdeyn in the lordship of Dunbar (ER., XIX, p. 402,404). David Dudgeon, heir of John Dudgeon, fabri lignarii ac burgensis of Edinburgh, 1608 (Inquis., 354). Francis Dudgeon in Halhill on assize, 1688 (RPC., 3. ser. XIII, p. 245). Patrick Dudgeon published his "Macs" in Galloway, 1888.
