DURISDEER: From the village of Durisdeer in the parish of the same name in Dumfriesshire. Huwe de Dursdere of Linlithgowshire rendered homage, 1296 (Bain, II, p. 205). Andrew de Durisder, proctor of the vicar of Kirkben, 1447 (Pap. Leif., X, p. 280), is doubtless Andrew de Durisder or Durisdere who appears as sub-deacon of the church of Glasgow in 1450 (REG., 359,360), and as Andrew de Durisdere, dean of Aberdeen in 1453 (Bain, IV, 1263).
