In this case a very specific piece of land belonging to the Keilinghaus southwest of Oelde in Westphalia with a number of tenant houses including one called Edelbrock, all with an unfree status, which meant that the residents were also property of Keilinghaus. The earliest mention of Edelbrock is in 1283 AD in a document concerning the purchase of the Keitlinghaus and all its tenant houses by the Monastery Marienfeld in Harsewinkel.
