From a visit I had to Luxor, Egypt , members of Elhaddad family narrated the following information,
They came originally from Morocco during a great recession in the 11th century when there were waves of immigration coming from Morocco to Egypt. Another story from the locals says that Elhaddad are Arabs who came from the Arabian peninsula and crossed the Red Sea to reach Safaga where there is a harbor or a gate named after them, "Bawabet Alhadden" Haddad's gate,(this piece of information needs research; not confirmed to be true), but what is confirmed to be true is the assistance of Elhaddadeen district in Aswan where it is dominated by the Elhaddad Family, also in Qous قوص in Qena province the Elhaddad family exists there in large numbers, and both in Aswan, Luxor and Qous recognize each other as blood-related and one family on the other hand I have been told about Elhaddad who exists on the western shore of the Nile from Luxor, who are not recognized as blood-related to Elhaddad in Aswan and Qous.
I have been told about the family dean Tharwat Elhaddad who owns a family tree. He lives in Qous.
