Rogier Elyssone of Berwickshire rendered homage in 1296 (Bain, II, p. 206), William Elysson, Scots prisoner of war, was released from Newgate prison, 1375, and John Elison had a safe conduct into England in 1424 (Bain, IV, 227,970). James Elisone in record in parish of Forteviot, 1654 (Dunblane). Schir Alexander Elisoune, chaplane, had a "respitt" for his part in slaughter in 1541 (Trials, I, p. "257).
