Thomas Faber and Cokinus Faber were jurors on an inquest made at Peebles, 1262 (APS., I, p. 101 red). Alan Faber de Thrylstane (Thirlstane) witnessed a confirmation of Snawdoun to Dryburgh, c. 1350 (Dryburgh, 232), and a later Alan Faber was admitted burgess of Aberdeen, 1466 (NSCM., I, p. 19).
