Sir David Faw was chaplain of Rosemarkie, 1451 (OPS., II, p. 582). Dr. Fae or Falle was principal of Glasgow University in latter quarter of seventeenth century (RPC., 3. ser. XII, p. 522). William Fall, burgess in Montrose, 1672 (Brechin), Robert Faa was late bailie of Melrose, 1692 (RRM., III, p. 114), Robert Fall or Faa was member of Scots parliament for Dunbar, 1693 (Hanna, II, p. 493), and Robert Fau, feuar in Coldstream, 1830 (Heirs, 736).
