FINNIESON: John Fynnysoun was a forestaller in Aberdeen, 1402 (CRA., p. 384), and Bormand Finnysone had a grant of the lands of Blairback and Stout in Stronwhellen, 1498 (OPS., II, p. 73). Robert Fennison was a merchant in Edinburgh (Nisbet, I, p. 219), and Hugh Fenisoune is recorded in Carpow in the sixteenth century (CRD.). William Fynnesoun was a witness in Glasgow, 1527; John Fenesoun was a witness in Fife, 1545 (Gaw, 41); and Henry Finnisoun appears in Beanislaw, 1663 (Dunblane).
