Fen wick in Ayrshire is pronounced Finnick (in 1666 Finick). There is also Fenwick near Hawick (in 1615 Fynnick-Retours, Roxburgh, 78). Nichol of Fynnyk recorded in Ayr c. 1431 (Coll.
