There also are found the variants Flahavin, Flavahan and-in east Cork and west Waterford ——- Flavin. It is not very numerous now, but a century ago Griffith's Valuation recorded 46 householders in Co. Waterford, and three centuries earlier fourteen O'Flahavans of the same locality are to be found in the Elizabethan Fiants.
