Numerous versions of a surname that actually indicates the origin, from Friuli precisely. Are present en masse before 1300, but it would seem that it becomes a surname just in the late '400. Widespread in the plateau around Trieste, are integrated to the Slavic community, towards the end of 1500 appear the first distortions with ending -ch (Furlanich). The surname is still very widespread, also present in Slovenia.
