David de Fiuy received money for the Regent in 1340 (ibid., I, p. 462), and a later David Fywe appears as a witness in 1475 (Soltre, p. 73). John of Five was witness in Aberdeen, 1446 (REA., I, p. 245), Thomas Fyue was admitted burgess of Aberdeen in 1547 (NSCM., I, p. 59), Robert Fify is recorded as a servitor in Edinburgh in 1566 (Soltre, p. 128), and John Fyvie, merchant burgess of Aberdeen in 1698 (ROA., I, p. 246).
