Michael of Dalgamoc to Edger's nephew, Gillibert, in the reign of William the Lion (LSC., p. 213—214). As Gylconell fil. Edgari fil. Dovenaldi he appears as witness in another charter of the same period (Kelso, 340). Nothing more is known of him. Gilleconel Manthac (the 'stammerer'), 'frater comitis de Carrie,' was witness in a dispute regarding the lands of Monachkeneran, 1223 (RMP., p. 168; Innes, Leg. Ant., p. 219), and Gillecrist filius Gillcunil was charter witness in Dumfriesshire in the reign of Alexander II (Melros, I, p. 182). Gilcomgal mac Gilblaan witnessed a grant by R. son of Dungal of his heritage in Dronfres (Dumfries) to the Hospital of S. Peter of York (cited in Bain, II, p. 421), Gilcomgal would be 'servant of (S.) Comgal,' abbot of Bangor, but the saint meant is more probably Congal or Congual, who gave name to Dercongal, later Holywood, Dumfriesshire.
