GILQUHOME: From Macilwham, which see. John Lech, son of deceased Gilzequhone or Gilquhome, had a grant of lands of Kildauanan in sheriffdom of Bute, 1429 (RMS., II, 123; OPS., II, p. 229). Morgund Gilquhome witnessed sasine of lands and barony of Inuernochy, 1507 (Illus. IV, p. 740). In 1510 an action was raised against Mom Gilquhomson and others in the sheriffdom of Aberdeen for "wrangwis occupaciuun" of land (Illus., IV, p. 474).
