Thomas Imlach apud Logabussis was charged with being a forestaller in Aberdeen in 1402 (CRA., p. 383). John Imlach was admitted burgess of the same burgh in 1440, Thomas Imlach in 1449, and John Imlaw in 1479 (NSCM., I, p. 6, 12, 28). Robert Emlach was schoolmaster at Abercherdoer in 1636 (Strathbogie, p. 8), Thomas Imloch appears in Nigg, Ross-shire, in 1607 (RPC., VIII, p. 342), and George Imlach was a square-wright in Keith, Banffshire. John Imlacke Mill of Pettie, a tenant of Gordon of Gight, was prosecuted for riot in 1678 (RPC., 3. ser. V, p. 340). John Imlah (1799—1846), minor poet, born in Aberdeen, was author of "O gin I were where Gadie runs." Imbloch 1637.
