Kalubila is a surname of the Bemba tribe, meaning: a person who went missing in the wilderness and was only recovered by a search party. In old, traditional days, people would go into the thick unhinhabited bush at the onset of the rainy season in search of wild mushrooms. Now, there would be times when one of them would stray off and go missing. In order to find that person, a search was convened and they would go back into the bush in search of their colleague. They would usually beat drums so that the lost individual would be able to hear them from a distance. (taken from "Kalubila mu bowa" which loosely translates to, "One who goes missing in the mushrooms".
