Karowangoma is an error that may occur on birth certificates in Zimbabwe. This is because of the abscence or replacement of the letter 'l' with the letter 'r' in the Zimbabwean or Shona dialect. They may also be under the impression that the applicant has misspelt on the application form when they entered Kalawangoma instead of Karowangoma.
