According to my father's grandfather, Kecer Hasan Kaçar, his grandfather came from Iran, this may be true. Because the Central Asian Qajar Turks dispersed to many parts of Iran and Anatolia. And there are still villages named Kacar in Elazig-Iğdır. By the way, since the way Kaçar is pronounced (kecer) is their father's nickname, they took it as a surname. The last name Kaçar comes from the head of the neck, and it means 'escaping from danger (such as eye contact, illness)'. Now let's come to the simplest part, the word Kecer (just as pronounced in Xod) means hero in Armenian. It shouldn't be difficult to guess how this changed when the surname law was enacted.' There are many ascriptions made to my origin, according to some Georgian, according to some Armenians, according to others, they are descendants of the Qajar state. My hometown is Artvin and my village is Hod (Xod). When I look at the etymological origin of my village, most of the place names are Georgian or Armenian. And in the spoken language, Armenian or, more often, Georgian words are rarely used. But also, according to my father's grandfather, we came from Iran. There are even migration stories of our grandfathers (in the 93 war years). Our surname (Kaçar) was given because it is an ancient nickname.
