From the lands of that name now forming the parish of Kennoway in Fife. Peter Kennaway in the parish of Torphichen is in record in 1684, and Peter Kennaway in Cathlaw in 1687 (Torphichen). David Kennaway, apothecary, burgess of Lithgow, 1687 (Inquis., 6866), Peter Kennoway was retoured heir of James Kennoway of Kettlestone in 1693 (Retours, Linlithgow, 276), and John Kennawie of Adieweill, in the parish of West Calder, appears in 1647 (Inquis., 3344). R. Kennewie, Lochhouse, 1816.
