Evgenius filius Kessani witnessed confirmation charter by Bruce to Sir John Colquhoun, 1308 (Lennox, II p. 407). Kessanus, clericus, witnessed a charter by Douenaldus, earl of Lennox, sometime after 1334 (Levenax, p. 93). Kessanus dictus McGhillecharrik is in record, 1360 (Red. Bk. Menteith, II, p. 241). Kessan de Nentbolg witnessed a charter of land of Blarechos in Strathblane by Duncan, earl of Levenax, 1398 (Levenax, p. 74).
