KIDLAW: From Kidlaw in the parish of Yester, East Lothian. Henry de Kidelowe of the county of Edinburgh rendered homage in 1296. His seal bears S Henr de Kidlav (Bain, II, p. 201,546). Robert de Kydlawe, friar preacher in Edinburgh in 1309 (Wilkins, Concilia, p. 382) is doubtless Robert de Kydlau who appears as rector of the church of Penchatland, c. 1320 (Neubotle, p. 297).
