John Kirkwood possessed a tenement in Stirling in 1476 (SBR., p. 260), Alexander Kirkwod, a follower of the earl of Cassilis, was respited for murder in 1526 (RSS., I, 3386), and John Kirkwood was a voter in parish of Qwilton (Coylton), 1513 (Ros, 52).
