The name Larcombe is an english name meaning 'narrow valley' (from the Middle English, cumb) that was commonly frequented by Larks (from the Middle English, larke). In effect it means a 'the valley of the larks'. The name supposedly originates from south Devon where it is most commonly found today. But the first written record and spelling of the name, which was Jone Larcomb, dated to the 15th of May 1574 who lived and married in Somerset.
