Osmond Lavarde, Normandy 1180 (Magni Rotuli Scaccarii Normanniae); John le Laverd, Theobald Laver, Engl. c. 1272 (Rotuli Hundredorum).
From the Dutch, Lever; from the French, Leva; a personal name.
