Angus Lorn in Aberdeen, 1408 (CWA., p. 314). Robert Lome, bailie of Edinburgh, 1423 (Egidii, p. 45), is doubtless Robert de Lome, a charter witness there in 1425 (RMS., II, 34). Alan de Lorn, canon of the church of Dunkeld, 1433 (REB., I, 59). George Lorn, presbyter of the diocese of Glasgow, 1485, is also referred to at the same time as "Schir George of Lorne, Notar" (LCD., p. 198). Henry Lome was admitted burgess of Aberdeen, 1488 (NSCM., I, p. 34). John of Lorn had a tenement in Lanark, 1490 and Recherd of Lorne had a tenement there in 1501 (Lanark, p. 8, 11). Donald Lorne is in record in Methven, Perthshire, 1588 (Methven, p. 73), and Archibald Lome, maltman, was admitted burgess freeman of Glasgow as husband of the daughter of a burgess, 1600 (Burgesses).
