MACAYG: Makeg filius Kyin witnessed a grant of lands in Carrie in the reign of Alexander II (Melros, p. 172). Angus Eyg de Strathnawix received a charter in 1415 (ADC.), and Odo Macayg was rector of S. Conanus in Yle before 1427 (Pap. Lett., VIII, p. 24). In 1456 we have record of Aytho Faurcharsone (Bonn.
