Alexander Maislet was a resident of Edinburgh in 1612 (Edinb. Marr. ). William Maislet in Haddington gave allegiance to the king's coronation, 1567 (RPC., I, p. 558), Elspeth Maislett is recorded in Eyemouth, 1669 (Lauder), and Isobel Mislett in Saltpreston, 1698 (Edinb.
