Donald Malias de eodem was witness in 1454 (ibid., p. 184), and Gilcrist of Mallas was tenant of Wester Drumme, 1474 (Cupar-Angus, I, p. 197). Brice Malles was serety for James Malles in Caledy, 1456, James Mallase held pert of the same land, 1460, and Andrew Malice was tenant of the Walk Mill of Belgrescho, 1482 (ibid., p. 137,130, 233). William Malice, blacksmith in Stirling, 1546, appears again in 1561 as deacon of craft (SBR., p. 50,279). Constantene Malice was bailie of Perth in 1619, and in the same year William Malice, merchant of the same town, was charged with smuggling tobacco (RPC., XII p. 31). Andrew Malice is recorded in Soutarhouses, 1713 (Dunkeld). Mallice 1771.
