John McGowgane and Duncan McGowgane were tenants of Kilcobenach, Kintyre, in 1541 (ER., XVII, p. 630). Gilcallmn M'Gowgane was occupier of Kilcobenache, South Kintyre, 1650 (HP., III, p. 82).
