David de Innerlunan, with the will and consent of Gillicrist Macgilliduffi, granted the monks of Beauly all his lands of Ouchter-Tarradale, 1275 (Beauly, p. 60). Gilbert Mc ilduf held a tenement in Dumfries, 1461 (Edgar, p. 226). Three individuals named Meikilduff were residents in the parish of Buittle, 1684 (RPC., 3. ser. IX, 570), and John McKleduffe and Margaret is wife were listed as papists in the parish of Urr, 1705 (MCM., III, p. 413). The name is also recorded in Galloway in 1684 as M'llduff, Mickellduff, and M'Malduff (Parish).
