Pronounced Keône, contracted from MacEoin, ‘Johns Son'. 'In the province of Ulster the English family of Bissett, seated in the Glins, in the County of Antrim, assumed the Irish surname of MacEoin, MaKeon, from an ancestor Huan, or John, Bissett'.

Patrick McJon was one of the twenty-four 'Keys of Mann' in 1418.
