MACCURRACH, Maccurrach Variants of Macmurrich: which see. John McKeane McCourich in Glenlyoune and Duncan McCallum McKeane McCurich in Lawers were denounced as thieves, 1682 (RPC., 3. ser. VII, p. 638). Archibald M'Curich (McKurrich or McUrich), herd in McClay's land in the parish of Dunoon, was transported to New England in 1685 (RPC., 3. ser. XI, p. 94,312, 315). Another Arclibald M'Cunich is recorded in Dunoon parish, 1695 (Argyll). Shortened to Currie, which see.
