MACCUTHAN: A minor sept of Macdonalds in Skye, distinct from Maccuidhean, which see. Like the latter named they appear not to have had a good reputation among their neighbors:

"Clann 'ic Cuthain chuir nam briag."

(The M'Cuthan, expert in lies).
