Walter Mealing was dwelling in the Castleget of Aberdeen, 1597 (SCM., I, p. 89), John Meling was admitted burgess there in 1611 (NSCM., I, p. 110), and James Meling in Denmyln is in record in 1633 (SCM., 111, p. 113).
