Originally, this family's surname was 'Temsamani'. However, due to vague issues, the family was ordered to change their surname. While half of the family went for 'Mkerref', the other half settled for 'Sakhi'. Since then the families have expanded. Some are currently living outside of Morocco, namely France, Belgium and Gibraltar. While others have remained in Morocco, predominantly in the city of Tangier.
