Moravec, Moraveg or Moravej (مروج) is a surname in the north west of Iran bordering Azerbaijan and Turkey and also for many people living in Tehran. Moravec would have been written in the Farsi alphabet with the spelling changed through translation as the character ج is used at the end of the name in Persian making a dj sound.
