Roger of the Mount was juror on an inquest made at Traqueyr, 1272 (Bain, II, 34), and Alexander del Monthe rendered homage at Perth, 1291 (RR.). James Mounth was retrouted heir of James Mounth of Poffill of Sttakynnes, his father, in the lands of Poffil of Strakynnes vulgariter nuncupatis Sawgreiff-islandis of Strakynnes, 1643 (Retours, Fife, 638).
