Archibald Moysie in Westshiell, parish of Camwath, 1624, and John Mosie, merchant in Lanark, 1690 (Lanark CR.). David Moysie was author of Memoirs of the affairs of Scotland, 1577-1603. Robert Mosie, hammerman in the Caltone, Edinburgh, c. 1685 (PSAS., LIV, p. 243), and the name of George Moos in Johnheaven, 1678 (Edin. App.), is perhaps another spelling.
