NUDRE: Robert de Nudre was charter witness in Edinburgh, 1425 (RMS., II, 34), John Nuddre or Nudry was bailie of Montrose, 1431, 1435 (REB., II, 36, 46), and William Nudrie was 'mair of fee' in Brechin, 1450 (ibid., 127). William of Nudry was proctor of Hugo Cuminche, a hermit in the forest of Kilgerie in the barony of Menmuir, in the reign of James 11 (ibid., II, p. 382). William Nudere was burgess of Montrose, 1524 (RAA., 11,583), prayers were offered in the same year for the soul of Thomas Nudere, archdeacon of Moray (ibid.,), and another Thomas Nudry was tenant in the barony of Edilstoun, 1539 (Rental). Nudrye 1507, Nwdry 1552, Nwdrye 1519.
