Ofspring is a manifest corruption, although a manor named Offspring is mentioned (a.d. 1273; v. A.) in the Hundred of Folkestone, Kent.
Thomas Ofspringe, alias Oxspringe, of Kent, whoe came out of Yorkshire.'
His son Charles Ofspringe was rector of St. Antholin's, London, in 1634: Visitation of London, 1635.
