Parrick Surname Meaning

From Where Does The Surname Originate? meaning and history

This surname is derived from a geographical locality. 'at the parrock,' i.e. park. 'Parrocke, a lytell parke, parquet' (Palsgrave). The modern form paddock is a corruption (v. Martyn Freeth, late of Shrewsbury, suggested that this name could also have a Welsh origin, due to its prevalence on the Shropshire-Montgomeryshire border.
